ADMISSION TO YEAR 1

REQUIREMENTS FOR EXAMINATION REGISTRATION
To register for the entrance examination for Year 1 of the Bachelors cycle, candidates must be in possession of one of the following qualifications :

 Professional Maturity certificate (MP) with a CFC (Federal Certificate of Capacity) corresponding to the selected area of study.
 Other Professional Maturity certificates (+ one-year foundation course or practical internship).
 Maturity certificate (+ one-year foundation course or practical internship).
 Maturity certificate or EDD (Diploma level of studies) with a CFC (Federal Certificate of Capacity) corresponding to the selected area of study.
 Specialist Maturity certificate in association with the one-year foundation course.
 CFC (Federal Certificate of Capacity) corresponding to the selected area of study without MP (contact Design section for further information).
 Other qualifications : equivalent status can be granted (contact Design section for further information).

A basic knowledge of French is desirable.

ADMISSION COMMITEE
The admissions committee evaluates each application on the basis of a personal file, an imposed subject and interview

IMPORTANT DATES
Registration for examination : From November 19 2012 until April 15 2013, Design section secretariat, Boulevard James-Fazy 15
Personal interview : from April 29 until May 3 2013
Results : They will be displayed in James-Fazy building from 15 May 2013, sent by email and by post.

ADMISSION BY EQUIVALENT STATUS IN YEAR 2
Candidates for admission by equivalent status is carried out by an equivalence committee composed of professors of the University. This commission evaluates each application on the basis of studies already completed, a personal file and an individual interview.

A basic knowledge of French is desirable.

The qualifications and ECTS credits obtained in other institutions and validated by the equivalence committee are noted in the file of the student admitted to the University. The committee’s decisions are final. No justifications for its choices are given.

IMPORTANT DATES
Registration for examination : From November 19 2012 until April 15 2013, Design section secretariat, Boulevard James-Fazy 15 - 1201 Geneva, Switzerland
The portfolio of personal work must be sent before April 15 2013
Personal interview : 13-14 May for the candidates whose personal file has been previously retained by the admissions committee.
Results : sent by mail and by post.
