FASHION DESIGN

The BA course in Fashion Design at Head-Geneva lies at the crossroads of design and art, science and new technologies. The pedagogical framework emphasizes transversal practices.
One of the main focuses of the Fashion Design department is the influence now exerted by contemporary culture and sociological mutations on the aesthetics of fashion, which is actively integrated into the workshops thanks to the international partnerships established with other Universities of fashion and with famous designers and other professional players in the field of apparel. Fashion design has now become a global industry, with manifold and complex issues. The aim of the BA course in Fashion Design is to equip the students with tools that enable them to understand and integrate the codes of the field.
The project methodology in Fashion Design, developed over the three-year BA course is articulated around a succession of workshops in creative expression, theoretical and technical courses, enabling students to explore in turn the conception of apparel, research on the accessory and finally the building of a project for a collection. The outcome of these experimental projects leads to a strategic balance between the development of a personal stylistic vocabulary and the conception of a product in tune with the expectations of a multicultural market, with a passion for… Fashion
