As part of their Spring 2019 exhibition, the f’ar (forum architectures Lausanne) invited architects Javier Fernandez-Contreras and Youri Kravtchenko to present the exhibition Scènes de Nuit (Night Scenes). Conducted with HEAD’s first-year interior architecture students, Scènes de Nuit attempts to understand nocturnal spatial phenomena through lectures, discussions, walks, meals and screenings.
Scènes de Nuit presents five nocturnal encounters around the role of night in the construction of contemporary societies and their urban spaces. Scènes de Nuit recreates spaces generating practices and night rituals on five themes: consumption, city, enclosed spaces, party and meals. Five events (SHOP, FILM, CITY, CLUB and FOOD) became experimental laboratories to gather and question the relationship between architecture and night.
