David Robbins, American artist and writer, has kept inventing since the 1980’s territories and concepts for a renewed imagination. He refuses to identify it with visual arts or with the mere format of the exhibition, stressing the importance of digital technologies in the reinvention of culture, as well as the rejection of pre-established categories and cultural hierarchies.

David Robbins, artiste et auteur américain, n’a cessé d’inventer depuis les années 1980 de nouveaux territoires et concepts pour renouveler l’imagination. Il refuse désormais d’identifier la création avec les arts visuels ou le format de l’exposition. Il souligne, dans ses textes comme dans ses oeuvres, l’importance des technologies digitales dans la réinvention de la culture et met à distance les catégories pré-établies et les hiérarchies culturelles.
