The CCC Pre-Doctorate/PhD Seminar lays the foundation for a Doctorate/PhD in art practice. It is part of the CCC Research-Based Master Programme, an interdisciplinary and bilingual (French & English) programme.
Since 2011, it is the extension of the seminar « prospective PhD » (Pro/PhD), inaugurated in 2006-2007.
It is a research unit that has the mission of favouring and supporting new forms of research in situated art practices, at the doctoral and postdoctoral level. The seminar affirms the necessity to introduce cooperation with universities, HES and other institutions in Switzerland and in Europe to develop the best conditions for certification of the research undertaken by its participants and independent researchers.
