The shared and cross-cultural education welcomes the diversity of the cultural and political paths. It finds a fair regulation in the shared economy. It integrates the ways of life that produce common value comming from the education and economy of the exchange of knowledge, expertise, skills, behaviour. The common values are based on rare, public and private, shared and redistributed resources.

Third cycle education and life-long sustainable research rests on the mutualisation of spaces, tools and goods. It is a real alternative proposal in western countries, which currently gives a limited access to research due to financial and political reasons. To build an economy of solutions through the organisation of a researchers’ network and citizen communities is an alternative to the construction of scarcity and to the capitalisation of the common goods by the elite in the huge field of educational practices.

E/E research builds on a Swiss, European and American state of the art, on case studies, exchanges with international colleagues, the practice of team teaching, intra- and extra-institutional practices. E/E research is based on CCC Research-Based Master Programme as a study case and field of experimentation and rests on a rich and sustainable exchange with colleagues, students and researchers.

The outputs of E/E research are:

• The constitution of a collection of articles and chapters of books; the creation of an advanced bibliography (sitography, videography) and the translation of a selection of texts for a publication (compendium) as well as the creation of a database.
• The participation in numerous international conferences (Vienna, Stockholm, Grenoble, Lüneburg, Leipzig, London, Annandale-on-Hudson (NY/US) dealing with the transformations of superior education in arts in Europe and on the effects of the Bologna Chartas. (The Bologne Declaration in 1999 and previous reports)
• The participation to the discussions on the integration of art schools in the superior education at the cantonal level (HES-GE). and to the construction of Hautes écoles spécialisées (HES) in Switzerland
• The conception and development of a teaching unit with a solid study programme in agreement with the transformations enacted by the Bologna chartas (since 1998) and the opening of a study programme, the CCC Postgraduate Study Programme_critical curatorial cybermedia studies in 2000 which will become in 2008 (after the integration of the art school in HES-SO in 2001) CCC Research-Based Master Programme.
• Since 2006, the opening of a Prospective PhD (ProPhD) Seminar (2006-2011) whose influence attract numerous researchers aiming to develop doctoral projects.
• The engagement of the researchers results in the opening of a seminar with a real programme of training in research through arts and doctoral application in HEAD, Pre-Doctorate/PhD Seminar, (PreDoc/PhD). The environment is favorable towards supporting junior researchers and doctoral students (more than 15 students apply for doctoral studies).
• Simultaneously, the Pre-Doc Seminar legitimates two research projects supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) as well as the City of Geneva and private foundings.
• The E/E research project comes up with fields of experience in other academic or peri-academic situations such as the courses delivered in the Human and Social Science Programme of Collège des Humanité, Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne [EPFL] since its founding in 2002 as well as seminars in critical and cultural studies at l’Ecole (curatorial training) of Le Magasin (Centre national d’art contemporain) in Grenoble in collaboration with Alice Vergara and Lionel Bovier (1997-2007).
• Several projects in the field of education are developed by CCC alumni researchers and artists, such as the dinners around an art work, organised by microsillons; conferences organised in collaboration with the continuous education programme for art and art history teachers of secondary education [FOCO], the Cafés des libertés organised by students of University of Geneva and the collaboration with University of Lüneburg on the exhibition-conference and publication Edu Tool Box, and many others.
