Justin Ginnetti

Justin Ginnetti is the head of the Data and Analysis Department at the Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre (IDMC), + plus a department that functions as the primary collector and analyst of data on forced migration. Begun twenty years ago, initially IDMC only collected data on conflict-related displacement, but began working on other issues including disaster- and climate change-related displacement eight years ago. The data that is collected is then used to inform the development of international policies (e.g., the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, or UNFCCC) on displacement due to disasters and the impacts of climate change.
