As part of the “MIDIS DE L’ILLU” lecture series, organized by the Department of Visual Communication for the Bachelor’s program in Illustration, we are pleased to welcome animator and director Pierre-Luc Granjon. The lecture will take place in Building E, Georges Addor Room, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Pierre-Luc Granjon discovered animation at the Folimage studio in Valence, where he began as a puppet modeler. As a director, animator, and children’s author, he has developed a body of work centered on stop-motion and paper cutouts, notably including *Petite Escapade*, *Le Loup blanc*, and *Les Quatre Saisons de Léon*.
He went on to collaborate on numerous films, including *Wardi*, *Léo: The Fabulous Story of Leonardo da Vinci*, and *The Secret of the Chickadees*.
His latest short film, *Les Bottes de la nuit* (2024), created using a pin screen, won three awards at the Annecy Festival, including the Cristal for Best Short Film.
