Telling Stories of Care Through Interactive Design
In collaboration with the Geneva Municipal Libraries
From October 2026 at the Bibliothèque de la Cité, three interactive storytelling experiences exploring the notion of care—Ooops!, Thé ou Café, and Dear Friend—will be presented as part of the exhibition Bonjour, ça va ? Petites histoires pour créer du lien. The projects were created by students from the Master Media Design at HEAD – Genève, in collaboration with the Geneva Municipal Libraries.
How can we tell stories of care?
This question was at the heart of the Care Storytelling Workshop, developed by the Master Media Design at HEAD – Genève in collaboration with the Bibliothèques municipales de Genève. From 27 April to 17 June 2026.
Working with communities and individuals across Geneva, the students collected personal stories and transformed them into poetic interactive experiences for iPad. The projects explore care as a way of creating connections and making space for others.
Six prototypes were presented to the exhibition’s curatorial team. Three projects were selected for Bonjour, ça va ? Petites histoires pour créer du lien, an exhibition presented by the Bibliothèques municipales de Genève from October 2026.
The workshop was led by Douglas Edric Stanley, Sabrina Calvo, Pierre Rossel, Alexia Mathieu, and Andreia Rodrigues, in collaboration with Laura Györik Costas, Cassandre Poirier-Simon, and the Geneva Municipal Libraries.
