Come and discover the 100 best posters from Germany, Austria and Switzerland of 2025, selected and awarded in 2026!

Every year, the 100 Beste Plakate Deutschland Österreich Schweiz competition celebrates the most outstanding posters created in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Organized by 100 Beste Plakate e. V., it has been showcasing contemporary graphic design for many years through a publication and a series of touring exhibitions.

Open to posters printed and published during the year in question, the competition brings together a wide range of practices: work by established graphic designers, student projects, commissioned work, personal experiments, as well as proposals that explore the boundaries of the medium.

For the 2025 edition, 1,410 posters were submitted by 676 participants. Following an initial selection, 658 posters and series were presented to the jury, which met in Berlin for the final selection.

Over the course of two days, the five jury members brought together their perspectives and sensibilities. Their discussions gradually helped refine the selection, with particular attention paid to the graphic quality of the work, as well as to the diversity of approaches and ways of engaging with the poster as a medium.

The 2026 edition of the 2025 selection also places a strong emphasis on the question of engagement. The jury notes that posters addressing social, political or environmental issues are now less frequently represented in graphic design competitions. Nevertheless, this selection reflects a desire to make greater room for these themes.

The 100 best posters therefore offer much more than a collection of graphic works. They reveal the different ways in which today’s designers approach the poster, balancing formal exploration, communication constraints and reflection on the world around them.
