Artist and anthropologist Fiamma Montezemolo has consistently made of the border and its crossings an artistic, political and ethical research carried out in intermedial and interdisciplinary terms. In this public seminar, Montezemolo will present two of her key video works (Traces and Echo) highlighting the problems and potentials of art as intervention, collaboration, dialogue, and practice emerging in emblematic places such as the border between Mexico and the United States. The concept of intrusion, in particular, will emerge as a default dimension of all anthropological, curatorial and artistic interventions.
